Enable Stop Messages

Stop messages in an RTX Green Screen or a Windows Blue Screen quickly provide key information about a system crash. A stop message often gives you sufficient data to determine why a system has crashed and what actions to take to resolve the problem.

To enable (view) stop messages, you must disable the Windows Automatically Restart option.

Steps:

In the Windows Control Panel, double click the System icon and then open the Advanced tab.
Under Startup and Recovery, click Settings.
Under System Failure, clear the Automatically Restart checkbox.

NOTE: Select the Automatically Restart option only if you want to disable stop messages and have the system reboot automatically when there is a system failure.

Click OK to save the settings.
