When RTX (Real-Time Extension) is installed on Windows, it enhances support for time-critical tasks by providing a real-time subsystem (RTSS) which has the ability to schedule RTSS processes and threads ahead of Windows processes and threads. This section includes information that will help users of real-time applications (RTSS, or a combination of both RTSS and Windows) to set up and configure the subsystem for optimal performance. This includes information on configuring the RTX subsystem, displaying status and configuring TCP/IP for optimal use.
