Configuring RT-TCP/IP Stack Performance
You can configure the processor and priority of the RT-TCP/IP Stack Timer System timer thread from the Configure RT-TCP/IP Stack Performance control panel page. NOTE: Processor numbers are zero based. By default, the first RTSS processor is the ideal processor.
To change the RT-TCP/IP Stack ideal processor:
- Under Change the ideal processor the RT-TCP/IP Stack runs on, do one of the following:
- Select the Use Default Ideal Processor check box to use the default.
- Clear the Use Default Ideal Processor check box, and then choose a processor value from the drop-down menu.
- Restart the RT-TCP/IP Stack for your changes to take effect. If you plan to make additional changes that require a restart of the Stack, make all of the changes first and then restart the Stack when you are finished.
Changing the Timer System Ideal Processor

To change the Timer System ideal processor:
- Under Change the ideal processor the Timer System runs on, do one of the following:

Changing the Priority of the Timer System
To change the priority of the Timer System:
- Enter a value for the Timer System priority.
NOTE: Timer System priority must be in the range 1-127, where 1 is the lowest priority and 127 is the highest priority. The default priority is 66.
- Restart the RT-TCP/IP Stack for your changes to take effect. If you plan to make additional changes that require a restart of the Stack, make all of the changes first and then restart the Stack when you are finished.
