The PCI NIC cards supported by RT-TCP/IP do not require any special hardware configuration. Just install the card in a vacant PCI slot of your computer.
RTX provides a mechanism for converting an existing PCI NIC card from a Windows device to an RTX device. Once the NIC card has been associated as an RTX device, it can then be used as a NIC card dedicated to RT-TCP/IP. See Converting a Windows Device to an RTX Device documentation for details.
Each NIC card that is an RTX device requires its own IRQ. See Configuring Interrupts for additional information.
