Testing Your Virtual Network

To test that the wRTOS Virtual Network is configured properly, follow the steps below:

Steps:

  1. Configure the Windows Virtual wRTOS Ethernet Adapter.
  2. Start the RTSS subsystem.
  3. Obtain the static IP address for the wRTOS Virtual NIC Driver from wRTOS Settings.
  4. Use the Windows ping utility to ping the wRTOS Virtual NIC Driver at the IP address from Step 3.
  5. Use RtPing to ping the Virtual wRTOS Ethernet Adapter at the IP address specified in Step 1.

Note: If this step fails, it may be due to the Windows Firewall. If it is enabled, turn off the firewall, and then retest Step 5.
