wRTOS E-CAT ESI Import Tool allows you to import EtherCAT SubDevice Information (ESI) files for your EtherCAT hardware devices and save the ESI data into the E-CAT component database. This enables the E-CAT component to connect to and interact with your EtherCAT hardware devices.
The E-CAT component already stores a collection of ESI data from multiple EtherCAT devices in the default devices database, known as the MaxRTDevices database. We do not recommend modifying the default devices database. If you need to add new devices or modify the settings of existing ones, we suggest using the user devices database instead. For example, you can import the ESI file of a new device into the user devices database or import the device settings that need modification from the default devices database into the user devices database for editing.
